After making up my route as I go so far, I’ve decided to pick up the Eurovelo 1 at the exact point that I left it last year. The Eurovelo 1 is part of the European cycle network, massively long routes for cyclists, that cross countries. This one spans from Norway down to Portugal, the French stretch being known as ‘la Vélodyssée.’
I can’t help but think though, that all my best memories from that trip last year came from after I left this tourist trail. Time will tell!
In other news I’ve now cycled over 100 French miles since getting off the ferry yesterday morning. Pretty pleased with myself and I’m celebrating with a local cider whilst Heimlich takes a rest by the canal. Cheers! 🙂
