Heimlich is safely stowed below deck and I’m here, Guinness in hand, watching the sunset from the aft of the boat as it leaves Portsmouth. Had only one hitch getting here, I left the ukulele in the car as I cycled to the port, and everyone knows you can’t go on a cycle tour without a ukulele (it weighs less than a kilo so it’s perfect)! So I had to double back, but just made it in time. Due in to St Malo at 7.15am tomorrow. Ta-ra England! x
